Refugee Week
Friday 24th – Sunday 27th June 2022
Join us as we bring Refugee Week celebrations to our town – a historic site of arrival and departure for visitors, settlers, refugees and migrants of many kinds over the centuries. In honour of this history and our present-day refugee community, we invite you to join us at The Community Table, Party at Payers Park, to the exhibition, Movement & the visit of the Little Amal.
Further, plans are still to be announced – Exhibition at The Brewery Tap UCA Project Space from Friday 24th June to Sunday 26th June and a welcome for Little Amal as she returns to Folkestone on 27th June.
Refugee Week is presented with the support of Creative Folkestone, Folkestone Fringe, Counterpoints Arts, Art Refuge, and funding from Kent Community Foundation, as well as support from many other local people and organisations. We’re hugely grateful for all the support and enthusiasm of our partners, and very excited!
